WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – For his entire 12 years, Julian Wilson saw his world as muted brown, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.
But when he put on his new EnChroma glasses in mid-April, he saw green trees and blue sky. For the first time he realized that he lived in a red-brick house.
“These glasses help me a lot,” he said. “I had no idea that bricks were red.”
“Everything was muted,” said Julian, a sixth-grader at the Arts Based School. His favorite subjects are reading and science. His plays piano, electric bass guitar, ukulele and percussion.
“I have a world to explore,” he said. “It’s a completely new world.”
