WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A Winston-Salem mother was convicted Wednesday of not doing enough to stop her boyfriend from beating her 3-year-old son, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.

Tesia Alexandria Anderson, 23, of Greenway Avenue, pleaded guilty in Forsyth Superior Court to negligent child abuse, inflicting serious physical injury.

Judge Susan Bray of Forsyth Superior Court gave Anderson a suspended sentence of 13 months to 25 months in prison and placed her on supervised probation for three years.

Assistant District Attorney Pansy Glanton said in court that the alleged physical abuse was reported to Winston-Salem police on Oct. 15, 2015. Winston-Salem police officers found Anderson’s son, Kaedyn, who was 3-years-old at the time, with bruises on his body.
